Week 3 Day 4: Emotion Management
We returned to the Native Plant Border, where we worked with Tom from the Magnuson Environmental Stewardship Alliance (MESA). We identify several types of native and invasive species, including blackberries, curly dock and Queen Anne's lace. We also took turns as project managers again. We noticed managers doing a great job encouraging others, using clear communication and checking in to make sure that everyone was feeling okay. Hearing all those motivational comments really helped us keep our work pace up. Our efforts are being noticed by others as well. Another Pea Patch was overheard telling Tom that our team had made a big difference on the border. Keep up the good work, ELP!

we were pulling weeds like we did for the past 3 weeks. my goal was to pull 12 curly Dok instead I pulled 20 curly Dok. and i interviewed Tom from MESA we learned of new plants.
Today i learned of trick to calm a stressor. It was the ABC's it worked for me. I also pulled out so many invasive plants out of the garden. Tommorow's going to be great. We're going to the great U district. We're going to see a movie called Wall-E. Then explore the site itself.
Today was fun to work with Tom one last time and we each got to be project managers and I was the last one and I told everybody to work hard and they did and my two goals today were to find a way to calm down after Drew told me to put my Ipod away and I did and my second goal was to get 15 encourgment from each manager and I did and the day was fun.
