Day 3 - Planting
Another fantastic day at ELP! Our group met as much of our goal as possible by walking around the park, recording where everything is, recording how different stuff in the park is used, and drawing a rough draft of the park. We could not meet our goal completely yet because we did not have any large paper with us to draw the final draft of the map on. Oh well. I met my other goals, however. I enjoyed planting new native plants today. Someday that area of Grass Lawn Park will be filled with native plants. I liked the popsicles and kickball game. Tomorrow is fun day! I can't wait!
Day 3 - Blogging
Thank you Drew for coming up with a blogging solution for me. I also thank Maddie for bringing popsicles today. Doing the idea just for the last couple of weeks is fine with me if anyone is willing to drive as far east as my house. Otherwise I won't be able to come to weeks 3 and 4. We can also wait to start it until next year. That would give us more time to plan and earn money, meaning more options. I'll write my main comment for today after I know what questions to answer. Thanks.
Day 2 - Projects
Today was another fun day at ELP. I liked the project we started. The kickball game was fun. We never got around to discussing the idea today. We can always do it later. I put Drew’s phone number in my phone this morning, so now we can call each other if needed.
Day 1 - Confusing Roots
What a fun day! I met all of my goals. I enjoyed the games we played in the morning. I liked seeing everybody again. I’ve been going to Grass Lawn Park ever since I was little. However, today was a bit confusing.
I enjoyed the work we did today. Weeding blackberry bushes is much harder than weeding morning glory. I agree that we should wear jeans and a long-sleeved shirt on days when we weed or plant.
I plan to bring my journal to ELP tomorrow. In the maps section of my journal are maps of ideas to solve traffic from Microsoft up to Novelty Hill Rd and vice versa. On what was the first page of the journal section, now the third page, is a zoomed out map of the whole area. Today I copied that map and made a few changes to it so we can use it for ELP. If we have enough time tomorrow, I can show you the maps and we can discuss the transportation idea as a group.

Conner B day 2
I had another awesome day today. Sure it was a little bit painful but super awesome. I hope I have an extreme day tomorrow. laterz.
Grass Lawn Park Day 2
Day two is in the bag! Another great day of work. The Redmond parks and recreation staff are very impressed with our headway. I appreciate that people in our group have taken the time to talk to inquisitive people walking through the park. It seems like the park users are very impressed with our work too. For our blog tonight, identify some strengths of the people in your project group that will help you reach your goal.

ELP 2009 Grass Lawn Park Day 1
What a great first day. I am completely excited about our group. It seemed like everyone was really friendly especially for the first day of a program. We jumped into some tough work on the first day (don't forget jeans and a long sleeves tomorrow). As part of our daily commenting, please click on the "comment" link just below this post and share one high and one low point for your day.
